Recollection

Zen, Yoga, the Krishnas...do attain an altered state of consciousness, that they are in a different place, and in a nicer place. But this is not an enlightened world. And the world always draws you back.
— Lawence Weschler, "Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees," Published 2008

Recollection is about capturing 6x6 in’ of important cubic spaces from my early 20s. The sketch-like quality was to capture each area quickly as one would see it in a flash, like a memory and to capture a sense of energy with each environment. My intention for this series is to touch base on memory retention and attachments to certain spaces. A representation of a moment kept alive in a boxed shaped sheet of paper.
